Seminaries and Sex -- CTS on PBS
PBS came to Chicago Theological seminary to film a segment on seminaries and sexuality, and it's up on their website: www.pbs.org/wnet/religionandethics/episodes/march-27-2009/seminaries-and-sex/2511/. It's a cool segment -- not what I would call revolutionary, but nice nonetheless.

Does anyone else have trouble with confusing Helen Hunt, Laura Dern, and Laura Linney? Or is that one just me?
Exciting discovery: Helen Hunt was in an extremely cheesy teen dancing movie from the '80s called Girls Just Want To Have Fun -- she was about 22 at the time, and played an extremely quirky high schooler who seems to have a nice slashy ( Read more... ) -

This week my old friend and housemate L. is in town for an intensive at the seminary, and she's stay with me, which is very fun. Plus, she keeps cooking me dinner, which is delightful, delicious, and healthy. Last night we had greens with mushrooms and rice, and then rice pudding for dessert, which L. made from the leftover rice from dinner. Yum ( Read more... ) -

This is an interesting article in the Washington Post about the HPV vaccine.The gist of the article is that many insurers are refusing to pay the full cost of the vaccine to doctors -- the vaccine itself costs $120 per dose, and some companies will pay only $122 ("an amount not sufficient to cover the cost of stocking and administering the vaccine ( Read more... )
