Stitching Maniac
I've been on a stitching kick since early February. I started off with a new project that I picked up at a sorta local needlework shop (Toluca Lake is a lot more local to me than Alameda, CA, but it's still a drive!! We just happened to be up in the area and I'd seen the shop before, so we finally stopped in).

Confidence boost
I finished up my top/mini dress in time yesterday. It's so amazing how it starts to come together at the end. I think that pressing in the hems is like doing the backstitching on a cross stitch piece.... it just brings it all together and makes it look like a real piece of clothing. I was feeling a bit blue this morning, not really sure why, but I spent the morning working on a tunic top that I want to wear tomorrow when we go to L.A. Decompression and a party afterward. So... a Plurk friend of mine was reminiscing about the 'old days,' when we all used to blog. Not that we all knew each other back then, but she and I and a number of her other friends also on Plurk all had blogs of various sorts from the earlier days of the Internet, and they've mostly petered out, given other distractions. Comic-Con 09, the short version
I can't seem to do a short version. I started writing one and only got to Friday and it was already a pretty long page. So the shortest version is wow, I was really blown away by some things this year. It was awesome! Hello, Summer!
I know, it's only April, but it's been 90ish the past couple days here! Definitely feels more like summer. I broke out the shorts and sandals for the weekend. Hopefully it will stay nice but maybe cool off a little for next weekend, as we're taking a friend to Disneyland for her birthday!
