This whole business with working in a bookstore has played havoc with my economy. My sweetest has kindly said that he didn't expect a larger income, but smaller expenses. And that is both true and untrue.

Yesterday (during my worst procrastinating) I finished Poltergeist by Kat Richardson and it was rather good. I enjoyed the heroine thoroughly. She was balanced and professional during her investigations and felt like a real human being when dealing with her friends or situations when she was on her own clock. ... and on my way to work I found a glove on the ground. Strange. It's cold enough that you would notice if you lost a glove. I've heard that China Mieville has made something of it in Un Lun Dun. I really have to read it soon, but right now I've just started on Dust by Elizabeth Bear and it's strange enough to keep me occupied for a day or two.

I read Tithe av Holly Black just the other day. It's all about fairies and humans and a teen-age girl that sees the fair folk. It's good, fast paced and sweet. I love one description of a carousel-horse especially... You'll know wich one as soon as you read it too!

I've read a lot lately, what with working in a bookstore and all, but last night I picked up a book before bedtime to pass a few minutes in the company of words and I was hooked!
