This past weeks have been insane but entertaining - and if I'm not much mistaken I've been the same. Or, I've felt insane and my book has been entertaining, at least.

 Thanks to a wonderful boss who also writes I have a day at home with my computer today. And so does she! We stod in the store yesterday and egged eachother on about our writing. Yesterday a regular came to the bookstore and talked about his own writing. Now, he's really young and still attend high-school (gymnasiet), so some of his opinions were immediately recognizable as the ones I had at his age. I've had a better weekend than I thought I would. I'm starting to get better and could really enjoy the visit from Göteborg yesterday and today I've actually got a lot written. A bit more than 500 words on Särskild, a little bit of plotting for the same and around 1500 words on The Ticking City. I'm not sure how much of it I'll keep, but it felt ( Read more... )

Did I mention that my contract came yesterday? Now it's official, the book shall be turned in by mid January 2010 and the schedule was printed with the contract.

Wohoo! My first actual contract! Royalty-based, advance specified, numbers of copies put down and everything. I think I'm in heaven.

 Today I had to give up my place in the alumni group at LUF. That was a really hard thing to do.  So, today's quest's done. I made it to the coffee shop on the corner (four flights of stairs down, 20 meters away) to get my lactose free capuchino to go.
