It's gray and rainy today, and I've stayed in my jammies. I've been reading a novel, tidying up my art studio, and being lazy. It would all be just perfect if I didn't have this stupid head cold. Whew! We walked again tonight. And while we aren’t breaking any land speed records or even coming close to the distance we used to walk every day, we have been braving the cold and darkness. Yeah!

We’ve been recovering from upper respiratory infections, so excerise has been difficult lately. After nearly two weeks of feeling like crap, I'm finally starting to feel better. Sort of. The congestion is mostly gone and I have a bit more energy. All that is thanks to the antibiotics, which (of course) take their own toll on my digestive system. I went to the doctor this morning and got antibiotics and an albuterol inhaler to treat the nastiness in my respiratory system. This recent bout of illness has caused me to evaluate quite seriously the circumstances that have led me to be in such shitty physical condition. I know I suffer from seasonal depression. I am at work right now, feeling tired and a little crabby. I'm still feeling yucky and am planning a visit to the doctor later this week. In the mean time, I'm pumping myself full of green tea and hoping the antioxidants will help to chase all the crud away.

Well, Christmas is finally over, and (perhaps not surprisingly) both daddysir and I are feeling sick. His cold has settled in his chest and is knocking him around with a horrible cough and body aches. I took Toots to the vet today for her check-up. She's doing great. The new vet was actually amazed at how healthy she is for a kidney cat. She does have to have her teeth cleaned, though, so I made an appointment to take her in next Friday morning ( Read more... )

We had a great time at the Fair on Saturday, but it wore us out. Also, we both seem to have come down with a bug or something. D was very sick last night and I'm feeling icky today.
