I went to the International Film Festival today and saw a series of short films. They were all Chicago Filmmakers and out of about 7 or 8 films...5 of them were Columbia College Film students!!!  That's so inspiring to me!  

I love what I do! I love FILM! I love knowing how to read f-stops and when to use filters so that films dont overexpose. I love the way we  work with bolex cameras and edit with a razorblade and sprocket tape! I am completey thrilled with my life and feel that it can only get better!! I have been extremely busy with my classe which is a wonderful thing. I enjoy fully indulging myself in something that I love! Film has officially taken control of my life and it's wonderful!!!! I shoot my first film in 2 weeks and my main actress is a 5 yr. old girl and I am having a hard time....I dont know too many children in Chicago!! haha... ( Read more... )

My first day of my Production 1 class my teacher took us to Grant Park to have class outside. Before we left the classroom he asked us to remove our shoes, because it would be more fun that way! wow...im starting to feel very nervous....

This city continues to amaze me...even 2 years later. I will be walking down the street and am still in awe that I live here. That I call Chicago home.
