* being challengened to come up with work
* having work seen and heard and praised on a regular basis
* comraderie and peer support
* having a huge studio full of stuff at 24/7 disposal
* being part of group shows and seeing how 20 people come up with completely different responses to one and the same brief

handed in my last assignment yesterday. Since the past weeks have felt like limbo anyway, I don't really have a sense of closure or achievement, but it's good to be off the hook and deflate for a while.
