Shakespeare Company-ing again. Up to my ears. Learning a lot.
One of the insights being:
My personality, together with my professional training, life experience and finally mucking about creatively for three years in the UK have equipped me for a life in the arts.
I set out to take this degree because I wanted to be a director who knows enough of the work of the artisans to make informed choices and fully use the potential of the trades.
I have remembered this and I know what kind of director I would like to be.
But do I want to be a director? Of sorts? Of shows, more or less theatrical? The word 'director' seems to pop up in my head an awful lot lately. Is this the truth I've failed to acknowledge all these years?
Decision time. And doors will open.
Need sleep.
