It's been 2 weeks since the surgery, the stitches out on Monday all is well. The elbow is a little weak but it should get stronger. Didn't get to see the Doc when the stitches were out but his Nurse/PA said everything looked good. he told me that the people that does the biopsy (sp) declared it to be a gouty tofus (tophus) which is something caused ( Read more... )

Can't believe it's been almost 2 months here in Arizona, and a month in the house. The last month has been a small coaster ride. Brother in law of almost 50 years found out he has cancer and has started chemo. The In-Laws where here for almost a week when we first moved in. The trip was uneventful, which was good as we were pulling a trailer with the bike in it. We did it in 5 days, DC to Phoenix, went past the Fort to visit with my Brother and his wife. Just spent the last week in Sierra Vista (Fort Huachuca), AZ. Small town, large Army post. I think it may work. The post has 2 good gyms, one has an indoor pool for lap swimming (hadn't done that in a few decades and it showed). There is also a big outdoor pool. The wife says I'm getting soft in my old age an she maybe right. I the last 2 months I've let them stick needles in me, other than quarterly diabetic bloodwork. The first was to see if there was uric acid crystals in my elbow causing gout, no crystals. Just got home from David Bromberg with the Angel Band. Awsome. David just blows my mind with the way he plays. Can't wait for his new CD it's going to rock. He has asked several of the people that he played with years ago to write a song for him and produce it. So far he says 4 have done it to include Levon Helm.

It's official I'm ready to shoot one of my family. Try being cooped up for 6 straight days with 3 other people and you would be ready too. To top things off the Fed Gov canceled work for Thursday so with the new fall Wednesday they'll probably be off Friday too and Monday is a Federal Holiday. Well they couldn't do it.  Saints 31  Vikings 28   in over time. They could have won it if the pass had come a play earlier it might not have been intercepted and the Vik's could have moved close enough for a field goal and the win in regulation.
