moving

Just spent the last week in Sierra Vista (Fort Huachuca), AZ. Small town, large Army post. I think it may work. The post has 2 good gyms, one has an indoor pool for lap swimming (hadn't done that in a few decades and it showed). There is also a big outdoor pool. There is a skeet & trap complex with an archery range as well as both a small and large bore weapons range. They even have a paintball area. For my horse loving wife there is a stable that rents horses by the hour or day, go figure it was a cavalry post. The town is spread out over quit a bid of land and is smaller than where we lived in California. The SCA group is as big as where we are now but its a schlepp to the nearest neighbor, 75 miles. We went to a fight practice and meeting, already sucked into thier cooks guild and working on feast for their Yule. I came away feeling we'll fit in, but only time will tell on how I'll adjust.

On the 30th a Navy Doc is suppose to cut on my elbow. The first arm my wife had carpel surgery on was postponed twice before it was done. If it happens to me I can live with it because it means 1 of the young guys needed the Doc's expertise. I'll have just over a week before i need to get in the van to move to AZ.
