This series has taken over my life, I just love, love, love it when you happen on a show that you just want to watch repeatedly, read fix for and devour videos. It's very concerning that it might not be renewed, but I'm totally blown away by just how amazingly written, acted and crafted it is. It is totally stunning!

It's all getting rather scary :-(
There are going to be 16,000 police officers on the streets of London tonight and I don't think it's going to be enough. Birmingham (not too far from where I live) suffered last night and I suspect more of the same tonight, unfortunately the criminal low life can see how easily the looters are having it in London and are doing the same elsewhere, ( Read more... ) -
Riots
3rd night running and the riots are continuing and tonight it's spread further afield to Birmingham. It's been so long since we had rioting in this country, I think it was the80's, that we all seem quite taken aback by it and no one seems really sure what to do. The police as usual are bearing the brunt of the blame for either being far too soft ( Read more... ) -
Gas leak
Went into the kitchen not long ago to make a cuppa and could smell gas, rang National Grid and they've come out and tested the boiler and it's definitely that leaking so they've isolated it from the supply and I've rung Britsh Gas who are coming tomorrow to have a look at it. The best laid plans
So much has happened this week and I was going to do a catch up post, but am now watching the most amazing tennis match, the Wimbledon mens final. Nadal is just ferocious, it's a privilege to be watching this match. -
Fun day
Sometimes I go driving with Laura's boyfriends mum, she owns 5 shire horses and drives them. On Saturday she's guesting at a big agricultural show and I'm going as her groom for the day so we had a trial run this morning. Usually when I get there the horses are already in, but I was early today so went with her to fetch them, didn't realise it ( Read more... ) -
BAFTAS
Funniest part of the night, audience reaction to The Only Way Is Essex winning, Martin Freeman and Benedict Cummerbatch could not have looked more disgusted/pissed off/bemused if they tried. TOWIE people were running up screaming and audience were truly stunned. It was the audience vote, so they won fair and square, but is it the cream of British ( Read more... )
