It's all getting rather scary :-(
There are going to be 16,000 police officers on the streets of London tonight and I don't think it's going to be enough. Birmingham (not too far from where I live) suffered last night and I suspect more of the same tonight, unfortunately the criminal low life can see how easily the looters are having it in London and are doing the same elsewhere, the ease that they are breaking into shops and taking what they want is horrifying. I'm afraid the police need to be given permission to be tougher and harder because right now it seems that all I'm hearing is a lot of talk and no real idea of how they're going to stop the trouble. After three nights and the situation getting worse and spiralling completely out of control it's time to bring the army in, I don't care how old these people are, what race they are or whether theyre employed or not, they're breaking the law, they're terrorising people and they need to be stopped, if they get hurt in the process then tough, that's their own fault for being there. I really think we need the army, water cannons and rubber bullets, zero tolerance. Every night the police are risking their lives and it's seeming so ineffectual.
