Haven't been doing much update-worthy things lately. It's the rainy season here... lot's of rain... lot's of humid, and from 28-31C everyday (and getting hotter!). I'm practically melting to death. Thank god for popsicles?!!?

It just happened today looked like it was going to rain so Tetsu decided to make today a holiday and come with me to my Dr's appointment. He's been dying to actually see the baby on ultrasound. Point 1: Gaijin Wives Date

On Monday I met up with 3 other girls married to Japanese guys (who are all under 25+1). We all met through blogging, but they've all known eachother for a while before. This week I spent 3 full days with Mayumi and her kids. She took me to one of the big baby stores and went through what was useful, how much of what and when she used etc... to give me an idea of amounts and prices. I've decided to start slowly buying little things every week so we don't go into wallet shock.

So today was the long awaited first 1 on 1 date between me and Hiko's mom. It was such a lovely afternoon =)

We met up at Futako Tamagawa Station and headed for lunch at Takashimaya Dept. Store (equivilent of Holt Renfrew or similar). Had delicious meal of salad, roast beef, soup and assorted desserts with milk tea. I love how course meals give you ( Read more... )

So I got a phonecall this morning. I was half asleep and don't remember the first 1/4 of the conversation...but it was a house phone number and I'm not sure who it was! -Megan has been here since Sunday and it's been great chatting away and laughing with her. I get too tired and irritated to spend much time out and wandering around shopping/sightseeing, but she's been good about doing that one her own =) We did have one long day out in Harajuku shopping and having lunch that was nice. Today was the Children's Day (part of the week of national holidays reffered to as Golden Week in Japan) BBQ at Kiharu's house. Every year for New Years Day and Children's Day we have a BBQ at his parents house. Always his family and allllllllllll our friends lol Always a blast, his parents are pretty cool and his grandma is just pure adorable.

Today I had my first appointment at the birthing hospital: Made my reservation, looked around, filled out forms, got checked out for things the regular clinics don't do.. good times.I also got a macthing mini Miffy photo pocket book for my ultrasound pictures =)
