A lovely date
So today was the long awaited first 1 on 1 date between me and Hiko's mom. It was such a lovely afternoon =)
We met up at Futako Tamagawa Station and headed for lunch at Takashimaya Dept. Store (equivilent of Holt Renfrew or similar). Had delicious meal of salad, roast beef, soup and assorted desserts with milk tea. I love how course meals give you so much time to chat... we talked about everything but mostly Hiko and his past and how everything came together and ended up the way it is now. We also talked about how she's been wanting to/started to learn English *hint hint* so I might BAITO de English teach her lol. She really is a sweet lady and I had ALOT of fun with her!
She told me alot about Hiko's childhood (which he remembers NOTHING of)..keke he was the runt, the smallest kid in elementary! She carried him everywhere until he was like 6 lol She seems like such a good mother to him even though he wasn't hers. Hiko had also been convinced that when he left home they threw out all the pictures of him and stuff...but no.. she'll show me pictures and videos sometime she said; I can't wait.
After lunch we went and she bought baby clothes. God... everything is SOOO cute. So Ponyo now has 4 tie up undershirts, 3 sleeveless outfits, and 2 long length outfits (I dunno how to call any of the clothing items in English!) I just smiled and accepted the generous and adorable gifts (all of which cost more than any of mine haha). Baby clothes are so damn cute. I can't wait to dress Ponyo in them!

She also showed me the "secret" garden. And OHHHHHH MY GOD it has a Starbucks in it. The roof of the builing is a huge patio with grass, trees, flowers, fountains, children running around and benches and tables. I have found my sanctuary; my portal back to Canada. Did I mention there's a Starbucks in it????? I'm so going there to have a coffee and read EVERY day this summer. And I now have a hang out spot to show you when you come back dad-- it's literally perfect. You'll wish YOU had as good a starbucks to go to =P
