Safely back in Arcata, and I drove at least half the way. Classes start Tuesday. I start at 9am every day. Hopefully, this will help keep me in my routine and not missing classes. Wish me luck!

New Year's in Fresno with Tom was good. Got a bit of my calligraphy project done, went to the New Year's party at the House of Sin, saw Na'arah get her Pelican and attended a period poetry class at Twelfth Night, went duck hunting with Tom, his dad, his sister and her fiance. I'm back up in Arcata now, gearing up for the new school year. I bought my books today, all nine of them (about $330). And I still have to get a few more things, but I'm waiting on those till classes start. Oh! I drove part of the way back up to school, from Windsor (just north of Santa Rosa) to Cloverdale. I drove today! Like, really drove, not just home from the grocery store. I drove to and from my psychiatrist appointment in Portola Valley. No mishaps and I'm getting a lot more confident behind the wheel. Go, me!

So, the rest of my family left yesterday afternoon for family camp. I've got the house to myself for a couple of days before I leave.
