Growing boy
Carson had his four-month checkup yesterday, so I thought I would share the results. He is now 17lbs and 4oz, 25 3/4in long. Both numbers are at the 90th percentile for his age. Compare that to his one-month checkup where he was cited with "failure to thrive" and weighed less than his birth weight (by a couple of ounces). He's grown so much ( Read more... ) -
BebePod!
We got a new BebePod today, which is a chair that's specially designed to help infants sit upright from as early as three months. Carson looked so cute when we plunked him in it, that I had to grab a couple of photos.

Clean Up
Workers hired by our landlords came today and cleared a lot of the downed tree branches, including the one that was on the power line (I don't envy them that task). I grabbed some photos of them using a machine (is it a backhoe?) to hold up the limb while they cut it with chainsaws. Ice Storm
Well, we're back home safe and sound after evacuating our house Saturday evening. We lost power Saturday afternoon, and some large limbs fell behind the cars (one miraculously missing the Taurus by less than two feet, even though it some how bent the radio antenna), effectively trapping us since we don't have a chainsaw. Carson enters the world!
