Workers hired by our landlords came today and cleared a lot of the downed tree branches, including the one that was on the power line (I don't envy them that task). I grabbed some photos of them using a machine (is it a backhoe?) to hold up the limb while they cut it with chainsaws. glad nothing was damaged severely! I managed to not die driving on saturday. I was slowly changing lanes to avoid moron drivers on the interstate and the highlander decided to skid sideways, then I overcorrected and went the other way...

No I did not, I about messed my pants though... Luckily I was in a middle lane, had I been changing to the lefthand lane, I would have nailed the concrete median...
It was not very fun though...

Cool pics! Scary to have the branch across the power line! McAlester is still out in places and my parents have a homeschool family they knew there (did you ever meet the Buckingham's?) staying at the lake house so they at least have running water and lights and such. :-D
