Carson had his four-month checkup yesterday, so I thought I would share the results. He is now 17lbs and 4oz, 25 3/4in long. Both numbers are at the 90th percentile for his age. Compare that to his one-month checkup where he was cited with "failure to thrive" and weighed less than his birth weight (by a couple of ounces). He's grown so much ( Read more... )

We got a new BebePod today, which is a chair that's specially designed to help infants sit upright from as early as three months. Carson looked so cute when we plunked him in it, that I had to grab a couple of photos.

I had an appointment with my midwife yesterday. Everything seems to be going fine, heard the baby's heartbeat again. Did the glucose test, where I have to drink this icky-sweet stuff and wait an hour, then have more blood drawn. Well, I'm starting a new journal. Why? I just felt that the last one no longer represents "me"; who I am now, and the changes in my life. For one thing, the name "joyfulnoiz" was a name I made up in high school, and the cutesy spelling no longer really suits me.
