I might have just forked out £84 for a new LARP sword and scabbard...! I figured buying the materials and putting the time and effort in to make a new scabbard (the old one's a bit knackered) would equal more than £15, so I'm happy with that. Basically got it postage-free, thanks to being a student!

It's now 10 days late, and I've had no response from Timetabling. At a guess, the staff are also still waiting after 15 days! And there's less than 4 weeks until the start of lectures (3 to the start of Term, Welcome Week). At least I can buy one essential book (from Waterstones, where it's cheaper and I have a 10% discount Dad got when booking ( Read more... )

It’s official: Peter’s sorting out all the financial-type stuff for me and I’m moving over to QS (Quantity Surveying, though their proper title is Cost Consultancy) on 10th September.
