Timetable, please!!!!

It's now 10 days late, and I've had no response from Timetabling. At a guess, the staff are also still waiting after 15 days! And there's less than 4 weeks until the start of lectures (3 to the start of Term, Welcome Week). At least I can buy one essential book (from Waterstones, where it's cheaper and I have a 10% discount Dad got when booking a hotel online).

It's a fairly busy week this week. I've got Siân's game tonight, some sort of social tomorrow, appraisal at work on Thursday, preparations for Saturday evening on Friday and a night out on Saturday. I also need to assemble and paint/touch up the Horrors command so they're useable, contact Dan to see if he wants a preliminary game on Saturday or Sunday (after I've checked if WHW's open), paint Lee's bangle that I/we fixed and probably start painting the rest of the Daemon force. I keep bidding for metal Daemonettes (the sexy ones, not the really ugly 'first edition' ones) on eBay but losing out: I should have bid the £3 each I'd started with 5 Daemonettes (which I lost) on the 30 Daemonettes that were for sale, but I couldn't justify spending £90 at the moment! See, I also want a new LARP sword and scabbard, a couple more boxes of Dryads (not full-price ;P) and a Lord of Change (also not full-price ;P), so I'm now watching a sale for 12 of them; £36 is much more reasonable!

Matt sprayed my Horrors bits and Herald for me on Saturday and the Plastikote primer stuff is much better. It leaves a sticky feeling on plastic but it's fine otherwise! And at £4.50, still £1.50 cheaper than Games Workshop! It does say it's not for use on high-impact styrene, which is used for models, but a quick search reveals this is generally tough things like boats and RC planes, and I wouldn't call little plastic guys high impact (except those Goblin spearmen...)!

Saturday I ran my first-ever session of 3.5 D&D. I don't think I did too badly and, though there were a few moments of panic, it was mostly fine :D I still have a problem adding up without being really slow but as the session went on I got better. I don't think I'll have much trouble running the intro so long as I read up properly berforehand, even if it's 4th ed!

I also went shopping in the morning. I spent >£40 on a pair of ankle boots from Barratts but they'll last me years, <£5 on gaming snacks from the 99p shop including some orange M&Ms from Holland and Toffypops (my ultimate all-time favourite biscuit, closesly followed by chocolate malted milks), took the spraypaint back to Wilkinsons to get the Plastikote one as well as some trousers clips and stamps and then did the food shopping in Sainsbury's. I had to go again yesterday because we ran outof milk, but after all the crap I scoffed on Saturday and the yummy gingerbread on Sunday I needed the exercise! Unfortunately I didn't manage to find any cheap long boots :(

Sunday was a great day for drying the washing. I thought it might be my last chance to get the winter woolies washed and dried so I got my hat, two scarves and a hand-wash-only top and washed them in the sink before spinning them in the washing machine. I couldn't find the hat(s) that Mum gave me for Christmas last, though, so I wonder where they've got to?

Matt's got a week's admin work in the City centre, and then it's all hands to the pumps for Freshers' Fayre!
