I just got home last night from my first convention weekend, down in San Diego. I've been to conventions before (auto shows, music conventions, and such), but this was my first time doing a whole weekend of con nonsense, as well as my first gaming con. It was awesome.

In a couple of hours, I'll be heading toward London. A few days after that I'm hopping over to Ireland. It's only a week over there and I'll pretty much lose a third of it to flight time and jet lag, but I'm still looking forward to the trip ( Read more... ) -

My three month evaluation is coming up soon at work. I'm kind of nervous, but given that my supervisor's monthly evals have been pretty much "Good job! :)", I don't really know why. It's probably because this is a little more serious than the monthly things. Of course this also means I will soon be getting my benefits, too. Yay medical coverage ( Read more... ) -

I'm almost through with my first week of my new job. The first two days didn't really count for much because they were spent doing orientation and HR sort of stuff, but yesterday and today I was in the lab the whole time, starting to learn how to do all the stuff I need to know how to do.
