(no subject)
My three month evaluation is coming up soon at work. I'm kind of nervous, but given that my supervisor's monthly evals have been pretty much "Good job! :)", I don't really know why. It's probably because this is a little more serious than the monthly things. Of course this also means I will soon be getting my benefits, too. Yay medical coverage and accrual of paid time off.
I'll be switching to my real schedule at the end of March. Right now I work 11:00 P.M. - 7:30 A.M., Monday through Friday (as in, Monday night through Saturday morning). I'll be changing to Tuesday through Saturday, with Saturday being 4:00 P.M. to 12:30 A.M. Sunday morning. Leaving work at 7:30 Saturday morning and coming back at 4:00 Saturday afternoon kind of seems like it might suck, but there's enough time for 6 hours of sleep in there and it will (I hope) let one of the other graveyard guys change his schedule to what he was supposed to be on (he got stuck on some schedule he doesn't want, supposedly until I am done with my M-F schedule). I hear Saturdays are ridiculously busy but this week has been pretty busy anyway so I'm getting a little practice at least, I guess.
My dad turns 50 this June and will be celebrating it in Ireland. I hope I'll be able to get a few days off to go join him there for at least the couple days around and including his birthday. Unfortunately for me, his birthday's on a Wednesday, right in the middle of the damn week. At least I should be on Tue-Sat by then, so I won't have to try to get Monday off as well as Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Next Wednesday, March 4th, is Toy Soldier Day. I wish I could go to Disneyland for the invasion but I don't particularly feel like paying for a ticket. I'll get to celebrate TSD in any case, though, because it's a Wednesday, which is our gaming day--Warhammer 40k, Warmachine/Hordes, and various tabletop RPGs are the norm Wednesday nights. That's what Toy Soldier Day is all about, anyway--just having fun and playing games with your friends.
Still playing Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, and Warhammer Online.
