-We had four submissions for critique group yesterday. For one, we got into a discussion about how middle schoolers would talk about racial disparities. The main character is a 12 year old half-Puerto Rican, half white kid, and he has friends who are Vietnamese and Haitian. The general thought was the kids sounded mature for their years.
