So, we have returned home.  The power came back on Tuesday and we hit the road first thing Wednesday.  It was a long drive home, but fairly uneventful.  Power was creeping ever closer to the house as the weeks wore on.  But, another hurricane, Rita, blew across the mid-gulf and slowed restoration down a bit.  It also pushed water back into Lake ( Read more... )
