Summer break for the kids is almost over.  We are in the last week before school starts next Tuesday.  I'm looking forward to it as I get my alone time again.  The kids are bored and two of their best friends moved last Friday to Huntsville, Alabama.  So ironic since that's where we came from and they'll be living around the area we were living.

I am currently suffering one of my episodes.  My heart races because of my thyroid.  It mostly acts up when I've had too much salt (damn those sweet & hot BBQ chips!!) which and then causes my pressure to soar.  This has been going on since 4am this morning and it is currently past 6pm.  One sometimes 'cure' is drinking.  I once downed a bottle of ( Read more... )

I finally finished Sammi's blanket.  It was such a chore so I decided to rework the pattern so that I wouldn't have to join all the panels.  I'm working on Tommi's now and it's going much faster.  I am already aworking on the fifth of six panels.  It looks great, but I think I will experiment with a row of dividing stitches between panels on Daniel ( Read more... )

Evan got a job at Captain D's.  For those not familiar with Captain D's, it's a fast food place that sells fried fish, shrimp and the like.  The food will be a bit better for him than eating burgers like he was at Krystal's.  His drinks are free as long as he brings his own cup.  Nice deal.  He's only making  $5.85, but it beats him sitting around ( Read more... )
