Talked to the vet just now, and he basically said to let Homer hang out as long as he seems to not be in a lot of pain. So I guess I will. He's clearly declining, but who knows how fast. I will keep my eye on him and hope for the best ( Read more... ) -
Poor Homer
I haven't updated much here about Homer, but I guess we're getting pretty close to the end. Apparently it is the lymphoma, or who knows what, because I haven't gotten any more tests done, save bloodwork last month. He was anemic, which the vet said is probably because his bone marrow is just crapping out, due to being sick for so long. I was glas ( Read more... ) -
Gruesome/practical
So I was thinking about how my cat's going to die, and at first I thought it would be OK if I just came home to find him dead one day, because making the decision to put him down seems sort of traumatic. But then I realized, what would I do if he died at home?? Would I have to get his body to the vet's office or something? So I guess there's no ( Read more... ) -

Good news/bad news
The pat is maybe puking less, but now also has diarrhea. So that's fun for both of us. Anyway, talked to the vet this morning and he said that's actually a good sign (or at least not a bad one), and he wants to add new meds. The good news is, H has already been on this drug, so I have leftovers. So that's easy. Aside from now having to give him two ( Read more... ) -
