Author: JenJM (me)
Pairing: Gabe/William, Mikey/William, Pete/Patrick, Brendon/Ryan, Jon/Spencer and many a few others.
Rating: NC-17 overall
Characters: Gabe Saporta, William Beckett, Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, Mikey Way, others. Pretty much everyone from Cobras, Academy, FOB and MCR. Plus Maja Ivarsson of The Sounds, and I can tell you Green Day will appear somewhere along the way.
Word count: 96,000 total words
Warnings: language, blood, violence, killings, all the stuff you can find in a story where people kill vampires and vice versa. But these vampires have sense of humor.
Disclaimer: Gabe and William aren’t mine ç_ç they belong to each other themselves. Actually no one in here belongs to me, and it’s so sad.
I really don’t mean to offend anyone and nothing of what I wrote in this story is to be considered real, it’s all fiction.
Author’s Notes: Pete being a vampire and hunting others vampires is kinda taken from FOB’s video for “Sixteen candles”, all the other stuff is a product of my twisted mind.
Title from Cobra Starship’s “Prostitution is the world’s oldest profession (And I, dear Madame, am a professional)”.
As ever, feel free to report any mistake. Constructive criticism is welcome, feedback makes me happy!

“Mikey had a wife?” William asked as soon as the library door was closed, his voice showing shock and a trace of anger.
“When he was alive.” Pete explained, holding the package in his hands. “She was turned shortly after Mikey.”
“Who did it?” Gabe asked, surprised as well.
“Me.” Pete admitted with a regretful tone, looking at his hands. “She came to me and asked to be turned. She didn’t know she wasn’t gonna be able to be with Mikey if I turned her.” Pete looked up, a sad smile on his lips. “And I did it for that exact reason. I wanted her out of Mikey’s bed.”
“Patrick knows about this?” William sat down in front of Pete, frowning.
“No.” Pete looked away, sighing and biting on his lip. “I never told him about her.”
“What did she do?” Gabe asked with a curious tone, walking in front of the fireplace.
“She got mad at me, at Mikey, at Gerard, at the whole world. And she left.” Pete put the package on the coffee table, not taking his eyes off it. “Then she came back and…well, Mikey never told me what happened between them, but she never left his side again, not once. They couldn’t be together anymore, so she tried to stay close to him in other ways.”
“Mikey never said anything about her.” William frowned, his eyes stopping on the package as well.
“There are a lot of things Mikey never told you, Bill.” Pete sighed, looking at the young vampire. “But Alicia…he loved her. Maybe not in the way she wanted. Not anymore, at least. But she’s the only one Mikey never lied to.”
“She’s gonna get mad when Frank and Gerard’s thing will come out.” Gabe arched an eyebrow, perplexed.
“What?” William looked at his boyfriend, confused.
“They both have the same Sire.” Pete knew William had the right to know the truth about Gabe and about the first time Butcher had kidnapped Patrick.
“But…they’re mates.”
“Exactly.” Gabe simply said, not looking at William.
“What’s gonna happen to them?” The young vampire looked between Pete and Gabe, unsure.
“Well, until a couple of centuries ago, there was a Council that had the task to punish vampires who did things like this.” Pete explained with a little shrug. “It still exists, but only a few vampires recognize its authority.”
“The Council’s pretty much useless now.” Gabe sighed, and addressed William a little sad smile. “And it’s our luck. If they still had power, you’d be widow before even getting married.”
“You’re their Sire?” At Gabe’s nod, William stood from the couch, shaking his head. “Anything else you should tell me?”
“Gerard helped Brent to kidnap Ryan.” Pete explained, trying to keep his voice steady. “This way he got the war he wanted to weaken the main clans around here.”
“I thought he was neutral.” William shook his head again, angry and surprised.
“He wants the book, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get his hands on it.” Gabe continued, his eyes following William’s movement. “Mikey said he’s out of control.”
“Great.” William muttered under his breath, walking towards the window.
“There’s something else you should know about Mikey.” William turned to look at Pete and waited for him to continue. “He’s the one who asked Frank to kidnap Patrick and bring him to Butcher, ninety years ago. I think you deserve to know.”
“I guess that’s why he died to save Patrick, then.” William chuckled unhappily, blinking to fight back tears.
“He died for Patrick ‘cause he was sorry, Bill.” Pete retorted, feeling his heart clench at his friend’s words. “He was trying to pay for his mistakes.”
“And you knew it all along.” William said, turning to look at Gabe with an disbelieving expression. “You knew it was Mikey and Frank, and you said nothing.”
“I’m Frank’s Sire, and I should’ve kept an eye on him, instead of going as far as I could from Jersey just to run away from my conscience.” Gabe replied, looking angry and sorry at the same time. “But once I got here and fixed the mess…I thought he and Gerard deserved a second chance.”
“A second chance? To kill someone else?” William shook his head, not believing to his own ears.
“I’m not proud of what I did when I turned Frank.” Gabe admitted, looking away from William. “Or when I turned Gerard, with the only purpose of keeping Frank under control.” He looked at Pete, then at his boyfriend again. “But I’m their Sire, I had to give them another chance.”
“Really? So what? You grounded them for a decade?” William snapped, barely restraining the rage.
“Why d’you think I let everyone blame me for what happened?” Gabe asked, his tone just as bitter as his boyfriend’s. “I felt guilty, and I knew I should have watched them more carefully, and I…I thought they were gonna change.”
“Guys!” Pete stood, his voice worried and angry. “Just fucking quit it.” Both vampires turned to look at him, silent. “Bill, you have no idea what a bond between a vampire and his Sire is, not yet. And I thought you’re the one who always said that everyone deserves a second chance. Or Tom wouldn’t be here.” William looked away, his jaw tightening. “Gabe saved Patrick and willingly became the most wanted target for vampire hunters in the whole state, just to give Frank and Gerard the chance to pay for their mistakes one day. It’s not his fault if they chose to be two fucking sons of bitches.”
“I’m --” William started to say, but Pete glared at him and the boy shut up.
“And fucking hell, Gabe, just fucking stop thinking that you could have stopped them. When Mikey wanted something, he fucking got it, no matter how. Frank was just a tool in his hands.” Pete took a deep breath, but his voice was still full of anger. “Now that their second chance caused all this mess, we’re gonna kick their asses, and I’m sure you don’t have objections to that.”
“No, I --” Gabe stopped when Pete raised a hand.
“I’m not done.” Pete glared at them and sighed, a little calmer. “I hate to do these speeches, ‘cause I’m not a fucking marriage counselor or shit, but you two love each other, you’re meant to be together. And if you let your fucking past get between you two, you won’t last a month.”
William looked at his hands, not saying a word as he felt guilt cause a big knot in his throat. He wanted to say he was sorry for snapping at Gabe, and even if he felt Pete’s words were totally true, he needed time.
“Isn’t there something else I deserve to know?” Both Pete and Gabe looked at him, frowning and clearly not expecting that kind of reply. “My parents. Butcher told me about them.”
“What about them?” Pete asked, visibly calmer than before.
“They were werewolves and that’s why Butcher killed them.” William didn’t look at Gabe and kept his tone flat. “I know you didn’t know it was him, Pete, but why didn’t you tell me they were werewolves?”
“They were hunters, they met here, in this house.” Pete saw William look up sharply, surprised. “They got married and when your mother got pregnant decided they wanted a safer life for their son.” Pete smiled sadly at the memories and sat back down on the couch. “They were bitten a couple of years before their death; a few werewolves attacked a guy in the park, and they helped him, but got bitten.” He looked at William in the eye as he continued. “I wanted you to have the chance to choose a normal life, I didn’t even want you to know it was a vampire who killed them, but you found out anyway.”
“And why didn’t you tell me when you figured it out?” William asked with a slightly shaky voice, turning towards Gabe.
“I didn’t want to put more pressure on you, and…I was afraid you could have done something stupid.” Gabe admitted, and Pete looked at him with a surprised frown. “I was gonna tell you after all this mess.”
William nodded slowly, blinking to stop the tears as he sat down on the couch. He definitely needed time to sort things out in his mind. But now he had to know what was in the damn pack.
“Bill, maybe we should --” Gabe started to say, but William shook his head, determined.
“Open the package, Pete.” The young vampire said, his voice a little steadier. “No more secrets now.”
Pete sighed and took the pack, looking at it before tearing at the brown paper carefully. A few seconds later he realized he was holding the ancient book Gerard had told him about.
“Mikey had it all this time.” Pete whispered, his fingers caressing the cover with awe.
“He sent it to us, not to Gerard.” William muttered with a little smile, feeling his heart lighter at that thought.
“There’s something else.” Gabe pointed at something half-hidden by the paper.
“Two letters.” Pete took the things in his hand and arched his eyebrow, reading the names on them. “One’s for you, Bill.”
William hesitated, not sure he wanted to know what was in the letter. Eventually he took it from Pete’s hand, but didn’t open it.
“It’s better if I bring this to Maja.” Pete put his letter in his pocket, and took the book, standing quickly. “You two, behave.”
A few seconds later he was out of the library, under Gabe’s perplexed gaze, and William stood as well. With a little frown the older vampire approached the hunter, careful.
“Bill, listen --” Gabe stopped when William shook his head slowly.
“I need some time alone, Gabe.” The young vampire didn’t look at him in the eye, but saw him nod and headed outside, one hand reaching for Mikey’s letter.
~~
“I really don’t want to start this letter with ‘Dear William’ or something like that, so let’s just skip that part, okay? Good.
I seriously hope you’ll never read this, because if you do, it means I’m dead, and that’s not exactly my goal in after-life. But if you’re reading, well, I hope you’ll be able to forgive me for what you’re about to read. I know I shouldn’t have lied to you, but I didn’t have the guts to tell you the truth.”
William’s eyes filled with tears as he read the following lines, where Mikey explained him what he’d done ninety years before and why. William hadn’t expected a confession and it made him feel both relieved and guilty.
“I wanted you to know, because for once in my life I want to do the right thing, and you’re the reason why I changed so much in the past years. There’s a reason why I call you Sunshine, Bill, but I don’t think you ever wondered too much about it. I know it might sound sappy and cliché, but I’m not gonna be there if you’re reading this, so you can’t tease me.
I hope you and Maja will find a way to help Ryan with the book, and maybe someone else. I don’t want my brother to get killed because of it, but I know that if I’m gone, there’s nothing that stops him from getting into bigger troubles. I just want you to know that I’m sorry for what he did and what he’ll do, I wish I was able to stop him, but I wasn’t.
And I’m sorry for not telling you about Alicia. She’s a wonderful person, but don’t try to talk to her, she isn’t exactly fond of you. She never really accepted my feelings for you.”
William stopped to fight tears and let them fall down his cheeks as he continued to read.
“I guess I should have told you before how I felt, and I wanted to, but then Saporta appeared. From the moment I saw you two together, I knew you were gonna choose him, no matter what. And I could say that it’s fine with me, but I’d lie.
I love you more than I ever loved anyone else, and it’s not easy for me to think of you spending your life with him. But if I know Saporta well, and I do, he’s gonna take good care of you, and he’s gonna protect you, whatever it takes. It hurts to write this, but I know he can make you happy, and you deserve it.
So all I’m asking you, Sunshine, is to forgive me, if you can.
With more love than this definitely too sappy letter can express,
MW.”
William choked back a sob at the last lines and bit on his lower lip, as his hand gripped tighter the empty envelope. He felt something hard against his fingers and turned it upside down. A small shiny necklace fell on the bed and William recognized immediately the bat-shaped pendant. A small note was attached to it.
“Pete gave me this when he turned me. I want you to keep it, if you can forgive me.”
William gripped the necklace so hard the edges cut in his skin, but he didn’t care as more tears fell down his cheeks. He wasn’t in love with Mikey, not in the way he was with Gabe, but he wanted so badly to be able to see the vampire again, just once, just to tell him how sorry he was for not believing him. He’d never realized just how much he really cared about Mikey, not until that moment, not until too late.
The hunter lied down, closing his eyes, and silently cried until he eventually fell asleep minutes later, his hands still holding both the necklace and the letter.

A day later
“He’s been in there all night?” Maja glanced at William’s door as Gabe sat down next to her on the stairs. It was two in the afternoon and William had been in his room for 12 hours straight, without giving any sign of his presence.
“Yeah.” Gabe sighed, closing his eyes and resting his head against the wall. “He’s got a lot of thinking to do.”
“I know.” Maja shrugged and stretched her neck. “I was in the control room, I heard you talk.” At Gabe’s surprised expression she showed a little smile. “And you’re lucky it was me. You should learn to disable surveillance before talking about serious stuff.”
“I’ll tell the boss.” Gabe chuckled at that, arching both his eyebrows. “I just wish Bill would let me talk to him.”
“He needs time.” Maja brought her hand to Gabe’s knee and squeezed it reassuringly. “He loves you too much to cut you out like this, he just needs to put together all the pieces and he’ll let you in again. And most important, letters from dead boyfriends aren’t easy stuff to deal with.”
“You’re not helping.” Gabe muttered, closing his eyes and flinching at the mention of Mikey.
“Bill loves you.” Maja placed a kiss on Gabe’s shoulder, then smiled against the purple fabric. Gabe always wore that hoodie, taking it off only when he had to wash it, and Maja was fairly sure it had been William’s once. She was about to say it, when a voice behind them stopped her.
“She’s right.” William said from the doorstep of his room, his eyes unsure as he bit on his lower lip. “Gabe.” In less than two seconds Gabe was on his feet and he pulled William in a tight hug. The younger vampire hugged him back, his fingers gripping his hoodie like he needed it to stay upright and his face buried in Gabe’s neck.
Maja smiled as she stood from the stairs, then walked down the corridor without a word.
“I’m sorry, I…” William whispered with a shaky voice as Gabe walked them back in the room and closed the door. “I need you.”
“You have me, Bill.” Gabe cupped William’s face with his hands, smiling. “You’ll always have me.”
“Can…” William took a deep breath and looked at his boyfriend in the eye. “Can you accept this?” He asked, showing the necklace that he was wearing on the wrist as a bracelet.
“Yeah.” Gabe touched the bat-shaped pendant, smiling softly. “I can.” He rested his forehead against William’s keeping him close. “But we’re not calling our son Michael.”
William’s eyes widened at that, and he let out an incredulous laughter. “It’s physically impossible for you to not be a dork, isn’t it?”
“What? I made you smile, didn’t I?” Gabe asked with a fake innocent tone.
“You always do.” William admitted, then pulled the other vampire in a kiss as his tears mixed with a soft laughter.

“We have the book.” Brendon announced as he entered the room he shared with Ryan. When he saw Jon and Spencer sitting in front of Ryan on the bed, he grimaced. “Okay, I wasn’t supposed to tell everyone.”
“Don’t worry, we know.” Spencer grinned, and Ryan looked at him with shock.
“You didn’t tell me.” Ryan half-pouted, and Jon shook his head, amused.
“We wanted your over-energetic boyfriend to give you the good news.” Spencer replied, standing from the bed and making Jon do the same. “And now, I think we should let them celebrate.”
“Damn right.” Jon grinned as Spencer dragged him past Brendon and out of the room.
Ryan looked at his confused boyfriend, a little smile on his lips. Brendon shook his head and closed the door, then reached the bed, sitting down with a wide smirk on his face.
“We have the book.” Brendon repeated, barely restraining his enthusiasm. When Ryan just kept smiling, he frowned, not sure the vampire had understood. “Ry, what’s wrong?”
“I don’t want you to get false hopes, Bren, it might not work.” Ryan brought his hand to Brendon’s warm one, his smile turning sadder.
“But you want it to work, right?” Brendon asked with a confused frown.
“Yeah, if that’s what you want.” Ryan brought their joined hands to his lips and kissed Brendon’s knuckles.
“What d’you mean, if that’s what I want?” Brendon looked at his boyfriend, trying to lock their gazes together. “You…you want to be a vampire?”
“I want to be with you.” Ryan replied, eventually making eye contact. “I don’t care how.”
“You have to care, dammit!” Brendon stood from the bed abruptly, turning to look angrily at Ryan. “It’s your fucking life, Ryan.”
“You want the truth?” Ryan stood as well, looking directly in Brendon’s eyes. “For the first time in my life I feel strong, and it feels damn good. So yeah, I want to be a fucking vampire, okay?” He almost yelled, surprising his boyfriend. “And I hate that I like it so much, ‘cause this is what I’ve been fighting my whole life, and I almost fucking killed you and I don’t wanna…I don’t wanna be like him.”
“You’re never gonna be like him, Ry.” Brendon’s voice lowered and he reached Ryan, cupping his face with a hand. “Your father was a freak, Ry, he was a sick bastard and you’ve got nothing to do with him.” Ryan didn’t reply and Brendon kept their gazes locked. “Don’t feel guilty for being a vampire. It’s not what you are, it’s what you do that shows who you are.” He leaned in and placed a soft kiss on the corner of Ryan’s mouth. “And you’re the most wonderful person I’ve ever met. And vampire or not, I’m not letting you go.”
Ryan pulled Brendon in a hug, feeling his heart swell at those words. “Let’s just see how the whole book thing goes, then we’ll see what to do.” He whispered against his boyfriend’s neck, closing his eyes.
“Don’t worry, we’ll make it, one way or another.” Brendon whispered, pulling Ryan closer and feeling his cold lips smile against his skin.
~~
“I’m seriously thinking about switching our room with Mike and Cassie’s.” Spencer announced as Jon quickly reached the wall and placed his ear against it.
“Nah, Bill and Gabe are too loud, there’s no fun in that.” Jon shrugged and Spencer rolled his eyes at those words.
“Too bad you find those two so entertaining.” Spencer sat on the bed, looking at his boyfriend. “’Cause I had a couple of things in mind.”
Jon turned to look at him and his eyes widened in surprise when he saw the slow smirk on Spencer’s lips. “What kind of things?” He asked with a grin, focusing his attention on the boy.
Spencer’s smirk widened and he parted his legs, gesturing Jon to walk closer. When the hunter stepped away from the wall and complied, Spencer licked his lips in a deliberately slow move and pulled Jon closer. “Well…something like sucking you off.” He whispered on Jon’s parted lips, bringing a hand to the boy’s crotch. “Then I’ll make you lie down and I’ll fuck myself on your cock until I can’t even think straight.”
“Oh fuck, Spence.” Jon breathed in his boyfriend’s mouth, feeling himself harden quickly.
“But maybe you want to eavesdrop on Brendon and Ryan.” Spencer took his hand away from Jon’s crotch and let him go. With a grin he let himself fall backwards on the bed.
“You’re a damn tease.” Jon muttered as his hand moved to the hem of Spencer’s shirt, sneaking inside. He brought his fingers to Spencer’s nipple and pinched it gently, getting a low whine from the boy. “And you’re so fucking beautiful.” Jon bent down and nibbled at Spencer’s side, tickling him.
“Just move your ass, Walker.” Spencer closed his eyes when Jon moved and straddled him on the bed.
“And you’re the neediest bottom ever.” Jon whispered against his lips, snickering.
“Yeah, I love you too, Jon.” Spencer looked up at him and smiled, one hand rising to trail in the boy’s hair. “But now we should really get to the part where you fuck me.”
Jon chuckled at those words, taking both Spencer’s wrists and pinning them on the bed. “You asked for it, Smithy.” He laughed when the boy glared at the nickname. “Don’t worry, you won’t remember it once I’m done with you.” The next thing Spencer knew was that Jon was kissing him like it was their last day on earth, and he stopped thinking about anything else.

“I think half the house is having make up sex.” Pete sighed as he sat down next to Patrick on the bed.
“And the bad thing is?” Patrick raised an eyebrow, amused.
“I needed Gabe to go talk to Bob.” Pete showed a little smile, then sighed again. “But Bill finally came out of his room, so it’s better to leave the two of them alone.”
“Bob won’t talk without Gabe?” Patrick frowned a bit, closing his book.
“No, the only times he said something, Gabe was there.” Pete lied down and looked up at Patrick. “I guess it’s ‘cause Gabe’s the one who freed him from the demon.”
“He said how long he’d been possessed?” Patrick brought a hand to Pete’s head, trailing his fingers in the black hair.
“Apparently, thirty years.” Pete closed his eyes and enjoyed the werewolf’s touch. “He’s not lying, Maja gave him the truth potion-voodoo-whatever.”
“Then maybe he’s not evil.” Patrick sounded relieved, and Pete felt him relax. “If you want, I can come downstairs and see if I can get him to say something.”
“No.” Pete opened his eyes, smiling. “You need to rest and get better, we can take care of this.”
“Fine, I won’t fight the boss.” Patrick chuckled, knowing Pete was right. His wounds weren’t healed yet, and he needed to recover as much as he could before the full moon. “What about Tom?”
“He accepted to use the potion and…surprise, he’s sincere.” Pete showed a sarcastic smile at that, gaining a soft slap on the head.
“If he’s really sorry like he says, you should treat him better.” Patrick scolded the vampire, glaring briefly in his direction.
“Only ‘cause he’s sorry, it doesn’t mean I forgive him.” Pete pouted, not looking at the werewolf.
“Tom’s terrified by you, but still he ran right here when he found out about Butcher, it’s kind of significant.”
“Yeah, and last time I saw him before that, he was with Brent.” Pete retorted, feeling his hatred for Brent come back at full force.
“Give him a chance.” Patrick smiled softly, his fingers still playing with Pete’s hair. “I bet the guys are happy to have him back.”
“Some of them.” Pete admitted, closing his eyes again. He was about to say something else, when his phone rang. With a snort he took it out and read the name on the ID. “Butch Walker?”
“What?” Patrick looked at the phone as well, stunned. “It’s gotta be important if he calls you. C’mon, answer it.”
“Yes?” Pete said hesitantly right after flipping his phone open.
“I don’t know what you dickhead did this time, but Gerard Way’s furious, and he’s coming there with his buddies.” Butch Walker’s voice revealed he was downright pissed and absolutely not happy to be talking to Pete.
“Uh…thanks, I guess.” Pete arched his eyebrow, surprised by those words.
“I’m not doing it for you.” Butch snapped, annoyed. “They’ll be there tomorrow. Just don’t make it messier than necessary.”
“I’ll do what I can.” Pete muttered through clenched teeth.
“How’s Patrick?”
“Recovering.” Pete replied, his tone calmer and a bit surprised. “Wanna talk to him?”
“Not right now.” Butch sighed, his voice hurried. “Tell him I’ll call in a few days.”
“You can come visit him if you want.” Pete suggested hesitantly, knowing Butch wasn’t going to like it. “I mean, I won’t shoot you and you won’t shoot me. Like, a truce or something.”
“We’ll see.” Butch sounded almost surprised by those words and Pete mentally congratulated himself. He knew that despite the years, the werewolf still cared about Patrick, and vice versa.
“You sound unusually polite, Walker, everything’s fine?” Pete knew he shouldn’t push his luck too far, but it wasn’t like Butch to be that open to conversation.
“Fuck off, Wentz.” Pete grimaced, biting on his lower lip. “Tell Patrick I’ll call.”
Pete was about to reply something, but the line went dead. “Whoops. I think I pissed him off.”
“What’s new about it?” Patrick asked with a chuckle. “What did he say?”
“Well, he said he’ll call you, and he might come visit.” Pete glanced at his boyfriend, still surprised by that possibility.
“I’m pretty sure he hit his head.” Patrick nodded, barely repressing a smirk.
“Oh, right, and a very very angry Gerard Way’s coming here with his guys.” Pete added with a sigh, seeing Patrick’s grin turn into a worried frown. “Nice, uh?”
