Warnings: language, blood, violence, killings, all the stuff you can find in a story where people kill vampires and vice versa. But thes vampires have sense of humor.
Disclaimer: Gabe and William aren’t mine ç_ç they belong to each other themselves. Actually no one in here belongs to me, and it’s so sad.
I really don’t mean to offend anyone and nothing of what I wrote in this story is to be considered real, it’s all fiction.
Author’s Notes: Pete being a vampire and hunting others vampires is kinda taken from FOB’s video for “Sixteen candles”, all the other stuff is a product of my twisted mind.
Title from Cobra Starship’s “Prostitution is the world’s oldest profession (And I, dear Madame, am a professional)”.
As ever, feel free to report any mistake. Constructive criticism is welcome, feedback makes me happy!

Chapter 11

Gabe jerked awake and looked around quickly, hearing noises coming from downstairs. He turned towards William and woke him, gesturing him to keep silent. Without a word he got out of bed and reached the door, trying to understand what was going on outside.
William stood as well, reaching for his clothes and shoes and putting them on as fast as he could.

“Something’s wrong.” Gabe whispered walking back towards the bed and dressing as well. “Get the guns, someone’s in the house.”

“Vampires?” William opened the nightstand drawer and took two solar guns, throwing one in Gabe’s direction.

“Ray Toro’s guys.” Gabe caught the gun and checked the bullets, then put on his shoes, keeping an ear on the door. “We’ve gotta get out.”

William reached the nightstand again and grabbed a rope.

“This way.” William opened the window and turned towards Gabe with a frown.

“Do I really want to know why you keep a rope in your room?” Gabe reached his boyfriend with a little smirk.

“Pervert.” William grinned and moved the nightstand from under the window. Gabe frowned when he saw a little hook on the wall. “I’ve got handcuffs for that.” William added while he tied the rope at the hook with a tight knot.

Gabe was about to reply, but the noises became louder and closer in the corridor.

“Go, I’ll keep them busy.” Gabe whispered, gesturing towards the window.

“What? Like hell.” William shook his head, unbelieving. “I’m not leaving you with Ray Toro’s guys.”

“I can handle them.” Gabe reached him in front of the window, keeping an eye on the door. “Go, now.”

“But…” William hesitated, looking at the door, then back at Gabe. He took a step towards the vampire and pulled him in a quick kiss, his hand stroking the skin on the back of Gabe’s neck. “Be careful.”

Gabe smiled and nodded, moving a strand of hair behind the boy’s ear. “You too, dollface.”

With a last glance William grabbed the rope and stepped out of the window, looking down. A few seconds later he was on the lawn, his gun ready to shoot whatever moved.
Gabe looked down and saw William head slowly towards the side of the house, and he retrieved the rope, untying the knot and putting it back in the nightstand. He closed the window and put everything back at its place, careful not to make too much noise.

When the door opened a few minutes later, he cocked the gun and smiled widely. “Hola guys.”

The vampire on the doorstep had barely the time to register Gabe’s presence before a sunlight filled bullet hit him between the eyes, killing him. The other three vampires moved out of Gabe’s shooting range, cursing as their friend fell on the ground, dead. Well, deader than before.

“Saporta, get out!” A familiar voice called, clearly pissed.

Gabe made a thinking noise, making sure Ray heard him. “No, thanks.”

“It’s not a request.” Ray pushed someone in front of the door and Gabe stopped right on time from shooting. “Get out or he dies.”

Ryan was standing in front of the open door, a vampire holding him from behind as he tried to get free. He was already strong considering he’d been a vampire for about three weeks, but it wasn’t nearly enough.

“So?” Ray asked, stepping in front of the door as well. He was holding an unconscious Brendon and he carelessly passed him to one of his guys before looking back at Gabe.

“Okay.” Gabe nodded slowly and put the solar gun down.

“Good choice.” Ray looked briefly down at the puddle of dust on the floor and sighed, annoyed. “You’ll pay for this.”

~~

William heard voices in the garden a few feet in front of him and stopped, trying to figure out what they were saying. When he heard Ray’s name he knew Gabe had been right. But how the hell had they managed to get in the house? The lockdown system was supposed to lock every room, every time an intruder got in.

Leaving those thoughts for a better moment, William slowly reached the kitchen window, peering inside. It was dark and empty. William slowly tried to open it and let out a sigh of relief when he found out it wasn’t locked. He looked around to check no one had seen him, then climbed in, careful not to knock over the dishes in the sink under the window.

Once inside he closed it slowly and tried to hear if anyone was coming in his way. Hell, how was he supposed to reach the control room near Pete and Patrick’s bedroom with Ray’s vampires around?

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard someone walk slowly in his direction. He cocked the gun and prepared to shoot, hiding behind the kitchen table and aiming for the door. Suddenly a figure stepped inside, quickly followed by another, as the first one circled the table, intentioned to hide there.

The boy stopped dead in his tracks when he recognized William.

“Sisky?” William looked at his friend, wide eyed. “What the hell are you doing here?” Before Sisky could reply, the other figure reached them. “Alex?”

“They’re bringing someone in the basement.” Alex informed with a hurried whisper.

“D’you have guns?” William checked his bullets and shook his head, realizing there was no way they were enough for all the vampires.

“No, we left ours in the library.” Sisky whispered back, while Alex went to the door to check. “When we realized there was someone in the house there was no way to get them without being caught.”

“And where the hell were yo--” William’s sentence died in his throat and he glared at Sisky. “Ray Toro breaks into the house with his guys and you’re making out with Alex?”

“Hey, it’s not like we expected him!” Sisky looked sorry and William chuckled, incredulous.

“Actually, we did.” William kept glaring at him and saw the younger boy look down briefly. “Remind me to never ever tell Pete to put you and Alex in the same shift again.”

“You…you did?” Sisky looked up again and William saw surprise in his gaze, quickly replaced by guilt. “Look, I’m…I’m sorry, I --”

“Sisky.” William interrupted him, trying to keep calm. “A bunch of very very bad guys are taking over the house, can we discuss your inappropriate sex life later?”

“Right.” Sisky nodded, blushing slightly. “Sorry.”

“Thanks.” William looked at Alex as the hunter reached them. “Where are they?”

“There’s two, maybe three in the library. The others are bringing people in the basement.” Alex replied, keeping his voice low and kneeling next to Sisky.

William threw a glance at the door. “We gotta get upstairs.”

“Why?” Sisky frowned, confused. “We should go get help.”

“Who?” William looked at him like he had grown two heads.

“The Ways, maybe?”

“Gerard Way’s back to Jersey.” William shook his head, looking at Sisky in the eye. “And Mikey won’t help us.”

“William’s right, the Ways can’t help us.” Alex looked at the hunter, than at the door, worried. “We’re on our own.”

A few voices came from the near stairs and they froze, not saying a word. Alex stood slowly and peeked outside quickly, then waited for the vampires to be gone before walking back to the other hunters.

“They’re bringing Ryan, Brendon and Saporta downstairs.” Alex informed, and William tensed, cursing under his breath. “Brendon’s unconscious, the others look fine.”

“We have to reach the control room.” William looked at Alex in the eye, then moved his gaze to Sisky’s worried one.

~~

“What the fuck?” Gabe yelled as he was shoved in an empty cell. “That’s how you treat old friends?”

“Shut up, you bastard.” One of Ray’s guys replied, putting Brendon down on the ground and stepping back.

Ray shoved Ryan inside, not even looking at him as he fell on the ground and immediately reached Brendon. “Now, I can clearly smell someone else on you. Where’s he?”

“I don’t know.” Gabe didn’t take his eyes off Ray’s face, studying his reactions.

“It’s Beckett, isn’t it?” Ray grinned, shaking his head. “I could never forget that scent. That little fucker almost put a bullet in my head last time.”

“Too bad he missed.” Gabe showed a sarcastic smile at the vampire and Ray took a step towards him.

“Tell me where he is, or as soon as I catch your new little slut, he’s gonna be the first one to die.” Ray focused his gaze into Gabe’s now furious one. “And it’s not gonna be quick and painless, trust me.”

“I’m gonna kill you.” Gabe hissed, doing his best to stop himself from attacking Ray.

“I don’t think so.”

Without another word Ray and his guys stepped out and closed the cell’s door, leaving the two vampires and the unconscious hunter alone.

“How’s Brendon?” Gabe asked, kneeling down next to Ryan.

“Knocked out but fine.” Ryan caressed his boyfriend’s forehead, not raising his eyes. “We managed to get two out of the way, but there were four more.”

“Well, they didn’t underestimate us, that’s for sure.” Gabe looked around, trying to think of a way out.

“Where’s William?” Ryan’s hand kept caressing Brendon’s head, but he looked at the vampire.

“He managed to run.” Gabe sighed, his eyes fixed on the door. “I just hope he knows what he’s doing now.”

“I’m sure he does.” Ryan addressed him a little smile. “No one knows this house better than Bill.”

“But he’s still human, they can smell him.” Gabe stood slowly, reaching the door and peeking outside through the small opening in the door.

Ryan watched the other vampire for a few seconds, the faint smile never leaving his lips. “You really care about him.”

Gabe turned slowly and looked at Ryan in the eye, not sure he wanted to reply. “Sorry to disappoint you Ryan, but it’s not time for heart-to-heart conversation.” He said eventually, turning back to look outside.

“Watch your tone with him.” Brendon muttered, opening his eyes a second later. “Or I’m kicking your sorry ass.”

“Yeah, I’d like to see that.” Gabe replied with a little smirk.

“How d’you feel?” Ryan leaned down, helping Brendon to sit up.

“I’ve been better.” Brendon stretched his neck and looked around, realizing they were trapped. “You okay?”

Ryan nodded without a word and Brendon leaned in to kiss him, his hand caressing his cold cheek. Gabe kept his eyes on the corridor outside, a little smile stretching his lips. Brendon’s relief was so strong he could feel it without trouble even a few feet away from him.

The door of the cell opened again and both Patrick and Pete stood, ready to fight back any possible attack. But then Maja was shoved inside, quickly followed by Billie Joe, Dirnt and Tré. Then Ray appeared on the doorstep with an exasperated expression.

“Seriously, Wentz, how many others are there?” Ray asked, surprising Pete.

“A lot. And they’re gonna kick your ass when you least expect it.” Pete replied, a smug grin on his face.

“Oh really? Then what about I kill every single bastard we catch?” Ray’s tone was deadly serious and Pete’s smile disappeared. “Screw the cells, I’ll just snap their necks.”

“What d’you want?” Pete hissed, trying to control his rage.

“The book.” Ray replied, his eyes never leaving Pete’s. “I don’t have the time to check every single room, so now you tell me where you keep the book.” Ray took a step inside and showed his fangs, a faint smirk on his lips. “Or your friends are gonna die one after another. Starting from the werewolf. Full moon was last week, wasn’t it? Still too weak to fight, I guess.”

Pete tensed and barely repressed the urge to jump and kill Ray with his bare hands. “We don’t have it.”

“Sure.” Ray chuckled, shaking his head and heading outside. “You have an hour to make up your mind, then I’ll start killing your friends.”

The door slammed shut and Maja sat on the floor, immediately followed by the others. Patrick closed his eyes and rested his head against the wall. “This is gonna be a problem.”

~~

“A control room?” Sisky whispered as they made their way to the stairs. A group of vampires had just gone downstairs, bringing Maja, and other three people William didn’t see well. They looked like Billie Joe and his guys.

“That’s the only way to stop them.” William said, checking the corridor. “There’s a security system that ejects a gas from air conduits. It can be activated only from there.”

“Gas?” Alex asked, surprised. “Soporific?”

“Works on vampires too.” William nodded slowly, and saw the doubt on Alex’s face. “Maja’s idea.”

“Well, remind me to thank her.” Sisky looked behind them and his faint smile disappeared. “Someone’s coming this way.”

Alex turned, cursing under his breath. “Go, I’ll create a diversion to give you time.”

William nodded and started to walk upstairs, quickly followed by Sisky. They reached the first floor and heard two voices not far.

“We still miss five of them.” One of the vampires said, probably referring to the hunters. “Maybe even more.”

“Ray wants Beckett alive.” A second voice replied, clearly annoyed. “He said we can kill the others.”

William heard them approach and prepared to shoot, gesturing Sisky to stay were he was. Quickly he stepped on the top step and aimed at the two vampires, shooting them both without hesitation, hitting them square in the forehead.

“Gunshots!” A voice from downstairs yelled. “First floor, gunshots!”

“C’mon, this way.” William gestured Sisky to follow him and ran towards Pete’s room door. He opened it and stepped inside, closing it as soon as Sisky entered as well.

Without a word he walked to the big bookcase and quickly found what he was looking for. When he pulled an old copy of Dickens’ Christmas Carol, part of the bookcase turned, revealing the control room.

“I had no idea Pete had a secret room or something.” Sisky whispered as William walked past him. “It’s not that surprising, though.”

“It’s Pete.” William quickly reached the main panel, followed by a surprised Sisky. “He reads too many X-Men comics.”

“Right.”

“Shit.” William quickly typed his password, but nothing happened. “Shit shit shit.”

“What is it?” Sisky reached him and saw the error message on the screen.

“The system’s crashed, we gotta release the gas manually.” William shook his head, cursing again under his breath. Ray’s voice came from near them and he looked up quickly. “He knows we’re here.”

“I’ll go out and distract them, you release that stuff.”

“No.” William stopped him and lowered his voice, serious. “He’ll kill you. He wants me alive, I go out there.” Sisky tried to say something but William stopped him, looking at him in the eye. “Take the gun. When we’re gone, you go upstairs. In the attic there’s an old mirror, behind it there’s a door.”

“Beckett!” Ray called from outside, clearly angry. “Get the fuck out, I know you’re around here.”

“There are two taps, one red and one black. Turn the red one.” William gave the gun to his friend and his hand squeezed Sisky’s shoulder. “The red one, Sisky. Don’t touch the black one, or we’re all dead.”

“Okay.” Sisky nodded and checked the bullets. “The red one. What’s the black one?”

“Nerve gas.” William saw the boy pale at those words.

“The red one.” Sisky repeated to himself, nodding quickly.

“Good.” William headed towards the room, then turned to look at his friend. “Be careful.”

A few seconds later the bookcase went back in its place and William opened the door, finding himself face to face with Ray Toro.

“About time, Beckett.” Ray smirked, grabbing the boy and blocking his hands. “I’ve got plans for you.”

~~

Gabe sat down in a corner of the cell, while Mike sat in the opposite one, causing Ryland to roll his eyes.

“Guys, can you please put your stupid fights aside while we’re in this shit?” Ryland asked, exasperated.

“As far as we know, he could be responsible for this.” Mike retorted, watching Gabe with hatred.

“Well, apparently he isn’t, or he wouldn’t be here with us.” Chizz commented, shrugging and gaining a grateful look from Ryland.

“Or maybe he’s here to make sure we don’t try to run.” Joe proposed, glaring at Gabe.

“Right.” Gabe laughed, sincerely amused. “A spy among the prisoners, what a clever move.”

“He helped Bill to run.” Ryan said, looking directly at Mike. “It seems a pretty clear sign to me.”

“Guys, can we just focus on how to get out?” Andy asked, sighing in exasperation.

“Who else got caught?” Mike asked, looking at the werewolf.

“A few of them were bringing Nate, Vicky and Travis in the other cell.” Ryland informed, shaking his head.

They heard voices approach and the door was opened a few seconds later.

“C’mon, out.” One of the vampire ordered. “Everyone.” Two vampires behind him were holding Spencer and Alex, guns pointed at their temples.

A couple of minutes later they found themselves all in the same cell, as the door was slammed shut once again. Pete stood from the floor and reached Saporta, furious.

“How the hell did they get in here?” Pete asked, fisting Gabe’s hoodie.

“How the fuck am I supposed to know?” Gabe shoved Pete away, angry as well.

Ryan looked directly at Pete, hope in his eyes. “Bill’s still out there.”

“Not for long.” Ray replied from outside, not opening the door. “Your hour’s over.”

“We don’t have it.” Pete turned towards the door, but didn’t step closer. “We don’t have the fucking book.”

The door was opened and Ray stood in the doorstep, visibly annoyed. “What about you Saporta? Mind to tell me where the book is?”

“I don’t know.” Gabe kept his tone flat, his mind working quickly. They were unarmed, but they were more than Ray’s guys in that moment. Maybe they had a chance.

“You’re gonna die, you know that?”

“Been there, done that.” Gabe shrugged, his eyes not leaving Ray’s amused ones. “Nothing special about it.”

“Let’s see what your boyfriend thinks about it.” Ray gestured someone behind him to come closer and one of his guys shoved William right in Ray’s arms. “Where’s the book?”

“I don’t know.” Gabe hissed, furious. “Let him go.”

“That’s not the plan.” Ray tightened his grip on William’s wrists and the boy fought against him, gaining nothing but dark bruises. “I’ll break his pretty bones, one at a time. I’ll make him scream and beg for death.”

“I swear, if you touch him, I’m gonna kill you.” Gabe took a step towards Ray, ignoring Pete’s grip on his arm.

“Yeah, good luck with that.” Ray smirked, twisting William’s arm in an unnatural angle and causing him to stifle a yell. “The book.”

“Don’t tell him anything.” William said through his clenched teeth. Ray twisted his arm again and this time William let out a little cry, cursing.

“Let him go and I’ll tell you.” Gabe finally said, surprising the others.

“I’m listening.” Ray shrugged, his grip on William still firm.

“Let him go first.” Gabe locked his gaze with Ray and made clear he wasn’t talking otherwise.

Ray thought for a couple of seconds, then shoved William in the room, his eyes not leaving Gabe’s face as the vampire caught William. “So?”

“The library.” Gabe’s arms closed around William. “I know Wentz keeps it on the top shelf with a fake cover, I don’t know where exactly.”

Ray chuckled and stepped out, looking at Pete. “So much for trusting Saporta, uh?” Then he looked back at Gabe. “If you lied, I’ll make you regret it.”

The door closed and Gabe took William’s face in his hands, looking at him in the eye. “Hey, you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m…I’ll be fine.” William smiled up at him and saw relief in Gabe’s eyes. “Nice move, bought us time.”

“And when he comes back?” Patrick asked, arching an eyebrow. “He’s gonna be pissed.”

“If Sisky doesn’t screw up, Ray will be sleeping like a baby by the time he finds out Gabe lied.” William turned to look at Pete with a little smile, stretching his sore arm.

“You sent him to the security tap?” Pete asked, halfway between angry and shocked.

“It was the only way, the computers were locked.” William looked at his boss in the eye, annoyed. “Sorry for trying to get your ass out of here.”

“If he turns the wrong tap, we’re all dead.” Pete insisted, ignoring William’s words.

William was about to reply, but the door opened and he shut up immediately. Gabe circled his waist with an arm in a protective way, stepping back and forcing William to do the same.
A couple of seconds later Sisky was shoved into the room, unconscious, and the door slammed shut once again.

“I don’t think I know what you’re talking about.” Billie Joe said, watching as Alex kneeled down to check on Sisky. “But if you were counting on him to get out, then we’ve got a hugeass problem.”

A/N: Since my cold is better, I feel oddly talkative and dorky tonight. And that's not very good for you. LOL
I'll try to be quick and painless. I think I have to warn you then next few chapters are really Gabilliam-centered. The story has different pairings, but those chapter are very Gabilliam-oriented and I felt like I should warn you. I told you, I'm feeling talkative. LOL
Also, the nc-17 Gabilliam is kinda approaching. It's not gonna take too long. *grins*
Okay, I need to stop here or I'll probably write too much. LOL
