This weekend, tropical storm Irene is passing through the area. We're on the outskirts of the storm, so while we haven't seen the strong winds, it's been raining heavily for hours. Today was pretty productive. I attended ESOL training in preparation for some classes that I'm going to teach later this spring. I also finished a book that I need to review, prepared some thank you cards for mailing, and did a little editing. I squeezed in a nap and 2 loads of laundry. Today turned out to be a lot busier than I expected. I slept in some and then immediately got to work cleaning my apartment. I met with a friend for Bible study at 3 and then spent the evening doing volunteer work for my Wycliffe friend. Now it's 10 pm and I am sleepy!

This morning I washed two loads of laundry, read a few chapters of Ezekiel, and spent some time in prayer. This afternoon I paid a visit to the Eastern market, corner store, and used bookstore. Today was chore and errand day here on the hill. I finally got out the cleaning supplies to wash down, scrub up, and swept out the grime and dust from the rooms. I'm tired, but so glad to be able to sit in a clean room! My dryer just beeped at me, so I need to go fold some laundry.
