Noah the Eighth

The grief that isn't seen
It's been a sad day for my family. It's hard to process that internally without sharing it externally. But I don't feel like I've had the right time or space to do so, at least not at work.

I've seen a bumper sticker that says, "Come the rapture, we'll have the earth to ourselves." This is nothing new. The people of old said the same thing to Jeremiah: "Indeed they say to me, 'Where is the word of the Lord? Let it come now!'" (Jeremiah 17:15) But the prophets warn us:

Pain and anger
I couldn't sleep last night. Maybe it's because I drank too much tea earlier. Or maybe it's because my schedule has shifted a bit. Whatever the case, I was up two or three hours just laying there.
