I feel like I piss people off on fb, which is not my intention. I probably should write here more and less there.

getting up the nerve to be a fat woman in a halter top in PUBLIC!

My head hurt so damn bad yesterday- all the way down to my lower jaw. It was warm out. Today I woke-up and it was chilly and I don't have even one tiny pain. I'm so looking forward to warmer weather, but I have to figure out how to avoid the head pain that comes with it. I need a new planner. The one I've been using for years only goes through December of each year. This is why I don't know when our dental appointments are this month. I woke-up with ears too clogged to hear and a raw throat. My voice is a croak. My house is a mess and I have to get moving to get M. to a field trip. But it still feels like the best morning ever!

His speech was wonderful last night.

Almost more upsetting than the almost break-in last night (which reminded me of when I was a kid and my dad was at sea and we lived on the Navy base and this guy broke into our house three times and the last time he got as far as my mom's bedroom- with all three of us kids sleeping in it -and Mom screamed and then said to my then six year old ( Read more... )

I think my kids have the flu. It's a little bit of everything- sore throat, sniffles, aches, vomiting and diarrhea. I thought M. would be better today, but she threw-up around 3am and is complaining of stomach ache this morning. Even she doesn't throw up again or have diarrhea today, I don't think I can let her go to the birthday party tonight. ( Read more... )

I've never had a flu this weird. Along with all the normal respiratory flu stuff, you also get pink eye and mouth sores- but those things come a little after the worst of the respiratory stuff. If I hadn't already seen M.E. go through it and talked to another mom who's whole family went through it, I'd think they latter two were unrelated ( Read more... )

I tried to melt white chocolate and it ended-up more like dough than melted chocolate. Did I do it over to high heat? I know it must be meltable, because I've done it before. Any suggestions?

Thursday was our co-op's holiday feast. We were supposed to take food that corresponded to one of the seasonal celebrations. I chose Winter Solstice, since we actually celebrate that one.
