Maeve has memorized one of her board books, and she "read" it to me this morning! Granted, it's not a HUGE book, but still, she knows all the words. :) She was so happy and loving this morning, giving kisses and hugs, and while I was on the phone with my Mom, she said, "Mama is talking to Gramma!". Well, exciting news! Maeve is not only talking in full sentences, she's having conversations with us! We were all out for a daily walk (I'm SO glad the weather is getting warmer!), and she saw a squirrel. I asked her what the squirrel was doing, and she said, "He climbed the tree!" Been a while - Maeve's gone thru lots of changes. Today, she walked down the stairs by herself, without holding onto Daddy's hand! She's talking, and saying her letters, and last night, she counted to six without prompting. :) Such a smart girl! When I got home the other day, I asked Maeve, "Did you have a good nap today?" and she said, "Yes.". I asked her if she and Daddy had fun, and she again said, "Yes.". She's not only talking in sentences, she's actually having conversations. It's so much fun ( Read more... )

Maeve can count to five! Occasionally, she takes a short cut, and goes, "1, 2.....5!", but most of the time, she does it right. She's my smart girl! She also speaks in complete sentences now, and asks, "What's that?" a lot. A foreshadowing of the "why?"s to come, no doubt ( Read more... )
