One two three four FIVE!
Maeve can count to five! Occasionally, she takes a short cut, and goes, "1, 2.....5!", but most of the time, she does it right. She's my smart girl! She also speaks in complete sentences now, and asks, "What's that?" a lot. A foreshadowing of the "why?"s to come, no doubt.
She got quite a bit for the holidays, including her new table and chairs, a tricycle, several Little People sets (including the farm and the circus), some books, some clothes from our friends in California, and some CD's. She also got a baby doll with a high chair, packnplay, and a diaper bag all her own. She helped Daddy open his gifts, too! She got a tea set with a gift certificate, and still has $25 left on another certificate. What a lucky girl!
We took a trip to the Children's Museum at the end of Dec, but Maeve was totally uninterested in the slide, or Santa. She wanted to see the robots and the dinosaurs. We still had a grand time, even if it was very, very crowded. We're planning on going again for Maeve's 2nd birthday, and hopefully once before that, to see the Curious George exhibit, since Maeve loves animals.
