I'm not as opposed to the Christmas season as I was last year, but jeebus christ, it's still about a week too early for Christmas music. And Christmas movies, too...enough with the fucking Polar Express already, Mom.

This is my first post from my new laptop. *cue dramatic music* All seems to be going well so far. Even having a touchpad thing instead of a mouse isn't the huge pain in the ass I thought it was going to be. Against my better judgment, I'm watching a clip of Rachael Ray's talk show...such is the torture I put myself through for cute men with accents lol. Fortunately (aside from her "I smoke 84 packs a day" voice), Rachael seems to have toned down the annoyingness a bit since the last time I watched her in anything. I found out that I got accepted into graduate school (or I was recommended for acceptance into graduate school, which appears to be the same thing) for library science. This will be done online through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Don't know any particulars yet. At this point, I'm mostly excited because now I have an excuse to get a new ( Read more... )

My granny passed away early Sunday morning. I'd say more, but I'm still kind of in shock (she hadn't been doing well, but her death had not been expected at this particular time). I feel the loss but I haven't really been able to think about what it really means. So far, everyone has been handling it well; I am hopeful that that will continue ( Read more... )
