I didn't listen to music much as a preteen/teenager; it's only really been a few years since I started developing an interest in it. So this list is aaaaaaaaallllll over the place lol.
In no particular order: songs I remember liking from ages 10-19.
1. K-Ci & Jo Jo - All My Life: I have no idea why I liked this. I just remember it being played at every middle school dance I went to, and it seemed romantic...I guess.

3. Salt-n-Pepa - Push It: Apparently I went through a hip-hop phase. But this song still fucking rocks.

4. The Beatles - Eight Days a Week: With apologies to, well, most of the world, I've never liked the Beatles. I appreciate the contributions they made to rock and roll but I think their music is generally shit. That said, I went through a phase where I could not get enough of this song.

5. Eric Clapton - Forever Man: I remember that I posted in a thread on SO titled "Top 10 Favorite 70s Songs" or something and listed this song as one of them, then someone corrected me and told me it came out in 1985. Ha. Loser.

6. Stevie Nicks - Edge of Seventeen: Unfortunately, this song suffers from Everybody Wants to Rule the World syndrome (meaning they played it so goddamn much on my local stations that I now hate it). I must admit to liking Lindsay Lohan's version of it though, lol. There are no decent versions of it on YouTube; this is the best I could do.

7. Nirvana - Come As You Are: I listened to this pretty much on repeat freshman year of college. Pretty sure it's the only Nirvana song I like, possibly because it's the only one I've heard where Kurt sings in English.

9. Tommy James and the Shondells - Hanky Panky: OK, I have no idea what kind of drugs I was doing when I was 12. This was on one of the first CDs I ever owned and I...listened...to...it...constantly. Times have really changed because I can't sit through it now without wanting to rip my ears off.

10. The Archies - Sugar Sugar: See #9. LOL.

11. The Monkees - Daydream Believer: OMG I LOVED THESE GUYS SO FUCKING MUCH...primarily because I watched the TV show religiously the one summer Nick at Nite showed it and was totally in love with everyone except Micky (don't ask). I didn't give a crap about their music, but I did always like this song.

12. Cher - Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves: Nothing you can say will ever, ever, EVER convince me this is a bad song.

13. Jimi Hendrix - Hey Joe: I've been in love with him ever since my one and only visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and this was and always has been my favorite of his songs. Once again, I can't find a decent version on YouTube.

14. Shocking Blue - Venus: This was on some old 70s tape my parents had that was missing its label and it took me years to find the name and artist. In the meantime, I wore the tape out lol.

15. Double - Captain of Her Heart: Kind of the same story as 14, except I'd always hear it on the radio or in the store or something and be like "Hey, I like that song and I have no idea what the hell it's called!"

16. Garth Brooks - Rodeo: For the most part, I cannot STAND country music. I heard enough of it at my first job and on the school bus to last me a lifetime. But oh man, did I love this song...for reasons that I'm not entirely sure of at this point in time. And what the holy fuck is latigo?

17. I've Had The Time of My Life - Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes: In eighth-grade art class, we played the Dirty Dancing soundtrack a lot. I'm thinking the teenage girls in the class had something to do with that lol. Anyway, I got totally hooked on both this song and She's Like the Wind; despite that, I have yet to see the movie to this day.

18. James Brown - Living In America: I've never seen Rocky IV (or whichever Rocky movie this song is in) but my parents have the soundtrack on cassette and this song always made me instantly happy upon hearing it.

19. Heart - These Dreams: This was one of the songs I played the most when I was in depressed melodramatic teenager mode, which was quite often lol.

20. Christina Aguilera - Fighter: This song also wore out its welcome on the radio when it first came out, but I've come back around to liking it.
