Ovaltine. Mentioned in Gaudy Night; the subject of those cute 'More Ovaltine, please!' commercials. It may not be the best drink in existence; it certainly tastes worse with sour milk. But anything which triggers that immense nostalgia is definitely worthwhile.

I must be attracting BTBs (Big Thick Books) lately: Harry Potter VI, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, and now the Sword of Shannara Trilogy -- over 1000 pages of magical mayhem and some of the most derivative scenes I've ever read. ( Spoilers. )
