Last night I was driving home from the Singularity Summit and I encountered a deer on the freeway. I have been depressed lately. That's no secret. The road from our house into town is long, twisty, and narrow. Many people drive on this road, and they all drive way too fast. However, there's a courtesy among the travellers: when cars start backing up behind someone, that someone will pull over and let 'em go on by.
