Does anyone use LJ anymore? I do miss it... it's like Facebook... with substance. I miss it!

I heard my husband on NPR radio today. They played Thrown to the Wolves', "Republic" at about 3:45pm this afternoon on WBFO. In the past years they have went from a little airplay on college radio, to a large scale Internet Radio station, to NPR. :)

Slow and steady wins the race, right?

Now entering Day 2 of no electricity at the House of Dirge. You know what that means: no heat; no fridge; no lights; no tv, computer, etc... no sump pump either. Been up for a couple of hours already. Need to get moving on the turkey soon; it needs to be in the oven about 11:15. Been cleaning, etc.. and just getting stuff together. Can't find a second set of salt & pepper shakers. May have to call for help on that. lol ( Read more... )

Yesterday I had a horrible sore throat. Woke up today and it was mostly gone, I was happy. And then I was super happy cause I had a 1/2 day at work today (gotta use up those vacation days!). I had a Dr. appt at 2, so I took a 1/2 day. Left work at 1pm. Got to the hospital at 1:45pm. Waited for Dr. Sneezed. Headache. Runny nose. 2pm... 3pm... saw Dr ( Read more... )
