Basically, where I've been lately is work. Douchebag Jimmy left, and so the burger joint has been AWESOME. Plus everyone is really happy that I'm back including the people who weren't always nice to me before my sabbatical. Yay!!!!!!!!

For reasons unknown I woke up 8:30 AM today. It should feel like the asscrack of dawn but after getting up every day last week at 6, it feels relatively late. O_o

Yesterday was my last day at the Cheese. There was free food, hugging, and one intense whipped cream/silly string/water fight in the kitchen to see me off. Oh, and my car was wrapped in streamers. There's still silly string in my shower and my washing machine from my feeble attempt to clean up. :)

I am officially on summer break. I retook SOC 200 this summer to improve my less than stellar grade, and I went ahead with the final exam today. Woo hoo! Now for my twenty-five days of summer vacation!

I unexpectedly got the night off from work tonight. I was supposed to close, but my city experienced a thunder storm of disastrous proportions yesterday and power still hasn't been restored within the city limits. Mom's birthday was yesterday. I bought her a chocolate cream pie and invited Anne over for some shenanigans. I was afraid that my efforts would be wasted when Mom came home and started lamenting that the one person she wanted to see yesterday couldn't be there. Fortunately, she snapped out of that and had fun, and that was my goal for the evening.

I got a letter today from my school's financial aid office. Last year, I got a letter saying that I was on my own as far as paying for everything was concerned, but that's not the case this year. I have combined grants from the state and federal governments that will literally cover ALL of my tuition this fall and spring. ( Read more... )
