I'm noticing a definite correlation between times that I deal with my mother and my anxiety. The less I speak to her, the better I feel. My mood is more even-keeled, I sleep better, and I feel closer to happy than I have been in months. It really wasn't a bad Christmas by any means. It just further reinforced the fact that not only did I not get to see my own family, but they also didn't bother to call or anything. Granted, these are the same people who skipped graduation so I'm not totally surprised, but it's still irritating.

When I was at work on Thursday night, everyone was talking about this mammoth snow storm that was headed for the east coast. I didn't think much of it.

I woke up yesterday at 7:50 AM. Why, you may ask? Mom called to let me know that a deer jumped onto her car while she was driving to work. She's okay, and other than the windshield, her car is fine. However, the entire windshield has to be replaced, so we're temporarily back down to one car.

Well, buying my laptop might have to go on hold. Mom keeps complaining about money. She gets paid the last day of the month, but since it's December, she'll be paid December 19th and then will have to wait until the end of January before the next check. January's always a tight month money-wise, but this year, my tuition's due the 7th.

Geeky confession:
Even though I've read all seven of them already, I stayed up all night reading/finishing Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It ended the same way as it did the last time I read it, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it.
