So.... same pain different year. It has been 3 years (and one week) since my hysterectomy, and the pain is back. I have had an ultrasound which showed nothing, not a suprise seeing as Endo is not diagnosable by this method, but at least it means there is nothing else obvious going on. So that leaves one thing. Job
Well, I got the job! Am very happy, although feel crap for my collegue. Trying not to be too happy around him. They said it was close - I thought I had interviewed really badly. Phew.
Am taking the missus out for a slap up meal on Tuesday to celebrate :) -

Today I have to write a page long essay of why I should get my job. This smells. By thursday, I will either be happy but also upset because a friend is out of a job, or be sad/furious. Either way, it will be crap. -
Rant
Things are getting fairly unpleasant at work. It has now been a month since they told us our jobs no longer existed, and still no sign of when the interview and decision making process will be. We have had another consultation meeting which was fairly useless, other than to let us know who the line manager will be for the new position, a good ( Read more... ) -
Another one bites the dust
Was called into HR this morning and told that my job was being cut, and that I will have to interview for another job, which is an amalgamation of the roles of me and my collegue. Then the one that loses goes. My collegue is a 54 yo man, who has some of the same abilities as me, but not all. He is my friend as well, and I have to think about how ( Read more... ) -

Hot does not even cover it..
First proper heat wave since my hysterectomy. I have just had a cold shower (courtesy of work - I have to) and within 10 minutes I have sweat running down my back under my t shirt and lab coat. The lab is at about 20 degrees, should not be too bad, but I am a little one woman heating unit. At this rate I am going to sit in the cold room. F******* ( Read more... ) -

I am getting a Blackberry Storm on Saturday, I have just played with one in the shop and it is a vision of lovelyness. Not sure I will ever be able to work out how to make calls on it, but it is ok cos the man showed me where the games were...
And... I have brought Being Human on DVD!
