If you didn't see it elsewhere, one of my cousins was killed in the Pittsburgh gym shootings this week.

I now have 75% less hair on my head. Whee! Hooray for summer haircuts, and the fact that my hair grows super fast. It should be long enough again to go all Farrah Fawcett-y for the 70's wedding in the fall anyhow.  I just can't handle that much hair in the hot and humid swamp summers anyhow.

To make a long story short, my flight to Seattle last week was grounded in O'Hare with us stuck ON the plane for 3 hours, because only 1 of the 4 restrooms was functional. Seriously. After 4 hours, they got us a new plane and we continued the trip, making my total travel time...12 hours, and the total time I was awake that day (with all time zone ( Read more... )
