Which token apology gift should I accept from United?
To make a long story short, my flight to Seattle last week was grounded in O'Hare with us stuck ON the plane for 3 hours, because only 1 of the 4 restrooms was functional. Seriously. After 4 hours, they got us a new plane and we continued the trip, making my total travel time...12 hours, and the total time I was awake that day (with all time zone change adjustments), 22 1/2 hours or so. Whee! I'm not even acknowledging the 3rd option of miles, because the amount they're offering in laughably small and miles are basically impossible to use anymore.
