That thing where you're supposed to be working from home on a work built laptop, and so far you've spent more time on the phone to the help desk about its login issues than you have working? That has been my morning so far.

Okay the laptop is now officially on it's way out. Everything takes ages to open, IE, MSM and the iTunes store don't connect and Firefox throws more errors every time I load a new page than I've seen in ages. Mission for next week: poke help desk into building me a new one while this one still powers up in less than 24 hours!

                   Looks like my thyroid issues are finally starting to respond to treatment (yeah taking two tablets at strict time intervals is a pain but hey it works) the Prof wants to review me in Feb so fingers crossed the news will still be as good then.

With the connivance of a sleepless night the stuffy nose has dropped into my lungs and I now sound like I've smoked 70 cigarettes a day all my life. Not to mention my back muscles are killing me after all this damn coughing (insert inevitable joke about coffin here ( Read more... )

Overly loud personal conversation on the train, the whole fragging car doesn't need to know what x's sister-in-laws lover has or hasn't done. I really don't need to know the intimate details of other peoples privet lives, especially when I'm running low on sleep and have had a crappy day at work. I'd forgotten how much salsa makes my hips and lower back ache, it's the small steps thing. Still it's good exercise so I'll stick with it for a few weeks and see if a) it stops hurting and b)it helps with the weight loss.

Hot bath time I think, before I'm too stiff to get up stairs.
