update 3 on the 651/612 storm for tonight and tomorrow #MNWX
Going off of last night's progression, the dropping temperatures and the precipitation times in the metro, they are all still on, as well as some ice-under-snow problems for the drive in and the drive home. As for the snow amounts though, we're only looking at the following in the metro:- near 1" in the northwest metro
- 1-2" in the twin cities

Ok, just got done taking a look at the latest observations and guidance, and there's not too much change in the general setup here. Some specifics about how the lows interact do change a bit, but as for what they do to us, not much change at all. update on the Wednesday night/Thursday situation in the 612/651 #mnwx
Ok. I just looked at the latest data, and integrated this in to the trends, and the situation looks like this.
The overall timing of the event (starting late Wednesday evening and fading away Thursday afternoon from SW to NE), is continuing to look to be on track, so confidence is rather high.

Well, the last few months it's been a bit of an up and down type of deal.
The upside, work is going ok, to the point where they're starting to take weather seriously. Also, financially, I have become a bit more confident about a few things.

two more weeks and back home for few days
Well, 2 weeks from tonight (airlines and I-81 traffic permitting), I should be back in Honey Pot for a few days. Some of the time dealing with a 25th High School Reunion, and a lot of time with my mom, my brothers, and my neices and nephews. Quick first glance at "Storm Radar" by IBM/the Weather Channel
I saw something in my twitter feed come up about a new weather app from IBM and The Weather Channel called "Storm Radar". It's an app that's supposed to give radar data for people to use in their everyday lives, in more detail than is available on the Weather Channel or Weather Underground apps. and it's supposed to also work worldwide.
