A Jack Russell Terrier was rolling around a little bit when he suddenly sat up at feeling cold stone. He sniffed around a bit, ran around a bit, and jumped up on the table. He nudged the Dictaquill, which sprang to life.

Oh!Wishbone thought. The Dictaquill wrote that down. Also the 'hmmmm' he thought after that. Then it pointed at the application.

Zel blinked. The applicant was a talking dog... or something very close to talking. Not even a beast-man, just a dog. What's wrong with this picture? "You know, there are probably better criteria for marriage than kidnapping. You read a lot, you can probably think of a few."

((OOC: Pardon me taking the excuse to spazz for a moment. WISHBONE! &hearts *ahem* Should probably also note that Zel has a cat, and almost certainly smells like it.))

CAT! Wishbone smells a cat. He crouched down, ready to strike should the cat make his appearance.

There probably is, but I'm afraid I'm not as familiar with relations between men.

"I don't think many people are. It's not exactly something that gets explained when the rest of the birds-and-bees stuff does, is it? Uh, is something wrong?" Zel asked, seeing Wishbone crouch down.

I smell a cat. Wishbone said as if it were a dirty word. Which in his case, it is.

((Hurrah for Wishbone! I know there are book forms of Nemo's movie; feel free to have Wishbone recognize him. For reference, Nemo is in the fishtank from the dentist's office, all by himself, though he has added various other decorations that he has received from Hogwarts friends. And his pets, and the house elf who pulls his tank on a sled.))

Nemo grinned. Here was another animal-person!

"Hi!" he said. The tribble in a cage hanging from the tank chirped happily, while Orca, Nemo's pet cat, lashed his tail, uncertain about the new arrival.

"My name is Nemo," Nemo said. "Can you tell me a story? Then we could be friends! I like stories. My friend Pippi tells good ones!"

Wishbone began to wag his tail. Oh joy! He remembered seeing this fish in a book! He set his paws on the fish tank.

Okay! Is there a particular one you'd like to hear?

[nemofound]

Nemo looked confused.

"I don't know their names. Can you pick one?"

[woocha]

Mmmm....how about The Prince and the Pauper?

[whoopwhoowhoop]

In light of recent ominous events, the answer to question 5B set Zoidberg's keen detective senses a' ringing! A veritable confession, it was!

"Ah-ha!" He cried. "Zoidberg has solved the case and saved the day! All right, scumbag! Where are you hiding Mrs. Hat-lady?"

Hat lady? I haven't seen a hat lady. But I bet I could find her!

[whoopwhoowhoop]

"Oh, I just bet you could! Because you are the one who kidnapped her! You can't pull the wool over Zoidberg's eyes! The jig is up, it is!"

No I didn't! I just got here! I don't even know this hat lady! Wishbone began to whimper. He didn't do it, honestly!

Oz thought back to his revised Garfield comics, and worried that he might be slowly descending into insanity. Eh, he had a good run.

"Hey." He held out a hand to pet him, though sometimes animals did not react so well to his scent. On the other hand, he hadn't transformed for a long, long time, so it was iffy.

Wishbone sniffed his hand, then lightly butted it so Oz could pet him.

It's all right, go ahead.

"Do you read comics?"

Not as often, but yes, I've read a few comics. Wishbone stretched out to get more fur under Oz's hand.

And here comes a cute little fuzzy bunny. "What kinda stories, kid?"

Mainly classic books, folklore, epics, Sherlock Holmes. I like Sherlock Holmes

"Do any beatrix Potter?" There is a deadly gleam in his eye. "Or Shakespeare?"

Well, I've read Beatrix Potter. And I love Shakespeare. Sometimes I like to daydream that I'm Romeo, or Ariel, or Prince Hal.
