A Jack Russell Terrier was rolling around a little bit when he suddenly sat up at feeling cold stone. He sniffed around a bit, ran around a bit, and jumped up on the table. He nudged the Dictaquill, which sprang to life.

Oh!Wishbone thought. The Dictaquill wrote that down. Also the 'hmmmm' he thought after that. Then it pointed at the application.

Zel blinked. The applicant was a talking dog... or something very close to talking. Not even a beast-man, just a dog. What's wrong with this picture? "You know, there are probably better criteria for marriage than kidnapping. You read a lot, you can probably think of a few."

((OOC: Pardon me taking the excuse to spazz for a moment. WISHBONE! &hearts *ahem* Should probably also note that Zel has a cat, and almost certainly smells like it.))

CAT! Wishbone smells a cat. He crouched down, ready to strike should the cat make his appearance.

There probably is, but I'm afraid I'm not as familiar with relations between men.

"I don't think many people are. It's not exactly something that gets explained when the rest of the birds-and-bees stuff does, is it? Uh, is something wrong?" Zel asked, seeing Wishbone crouch down.

I smell a cat. Wishbone said as if it were a dirty word. Which in his case, it is.

"Cat? What ca... Oh, right." Zel looked sheepish. "Yeah, I have a cat, but she's in my room right now. I don't think Lina's likely to bother you, at least not on purpose." Unless she mistakes him for food. That cat eats everything.

Okayyy, Wishbone sat up a bit but I don't like cats.

"I can understand that. Let's not talk about them, then." Zel squatted down and held out a hand. "I'm Zelgadiss Graywords; call me Zel, most everyone else does."

((OOC: I might also want to point out that Slayers is a series of novels as well as whatever else, but the odds of Wishbone running across them, well...))

"Okay, Zel!" Wishbone wags his tail.

"So, do you have a particular House you'd like to be Sorted into?" Hope he doesn't want Hufflepuff. I think there's quite a few cats there.

Oh, I don't care. I'd like to think I'm brave, though. Wishbone said and tried to make himself look brave....although it just came out as silly.
