Weekend? What weekend? Aw, crap, I missed it. But we did manage to take care of mother-in-law's stuff and get her previous unit cleared out so we're no longer paying for both (whew!).

This week's challenge theme at BPSails is pirates. Regulation-sized drabble follows, set as the Black Pearl heads for the Isla de Muerta.

Was a good do-bee (as Miss Ann used to say) (OMG, Romper Room? 4am may have been just too early today), over Labor Day weekend - lots and lots of yard work: planting, mulching, watering, weeding. Have finished the first week at my new job (whew!). There's a serious bit of difference between working 20 hours a week over four days, and working full time plus doing the most important stuff from old job on Saturday - have more than doubled my hours. Why wasn't I born with that proverbial green thumb? Don't enjoy gardening, so have spent (in my opinion) far too much weekend time this month digging up weeds so I could plant some flowers and veggies.
