As I said yesterday in my post about the various fungi we spotted, we did another circular walk starting at the George III hotel. First we had to cross the wooden toll bridge which is Grade 2 listed and dates from 1879. If you wanted to, you could stay in the little wooden cottage that, along with the toll keeper's hut, belongs to the bridge.

We won't be going for any walks this weekend. Today is horrible, a steady downpour from around 11 a.m. No hills are visible through the rain and cloud and the trees are tossing around in the wind. The weather was iffy today and the car had to go into the garage for its MOT and service. Therefore I planned a shortish walk that started from home. After quickly doing stuff on the computer, like checking email, sorting out the week's To-Do list and reading FB, LJ & DW, I crossed my fingers and set it going to update to Windows 11. It was G's turn to chose the walk and again it was a mix of the familiar and the new. We haven't always lived in the town.
