The weather was fine so we went for a walk

It was G's turn to chose the walk and again it was a mix of the familiar and the new. We haven't always lived in the town. When we first moved to the area we were the wardens of the Youth Hostel about 7 miles away up a beautiful wooded valley. The start of the walk was therefore familiar

Those walls are quite high aren’t they? That’s quite a challenge for anyone I would think! Your weather is much nicer than our was today.

We were quite lucky yesterday. There were a few spits of rain, just enough to make me put a waterproof on, but then it fizzled out and came to nothing.

In total it was just under 6 miles. But there was quite a bit of UP, so it was really good exercise.

I suppose I don't do too badly for my age, but of course I'm not as fit as I was when I was young, so I do notice that.
